Indivisible Idaho – The Next Chapter

Indivisible Idaho – The Next Chapter

We have seen what the grassroots is capable of achieving when we are organized and dedicated to a cause. In the five months since President Trump’s inauguration, we saw the largest resistance effort ever when millions of people on every continent gathered around the world in solidarity for the Women’s March. We have come together for the People’s Climate March and the March for Truth.

We also unite in a grassroots effort when the cameras aren’t on, and some would say in a much more effective way. The protests on the corners outside of our congressmen’s offices demanding to be heard on health care, and the daily phone calls pressuring them to hold town halls, the letters to the editor exposing the other side of the story that wasn’t covered before is all the result of the grassroots – the result of you.

Indivisible is a coalition of people working around the clock to inform and educate, to rally and protest, and to stand up for our rights and the rights of those who don’t have a voice.

It has been my profound honor to be a part of this movement, and I will continue to call, rally, and protest alongside you as a member, but at the end of July, Indivisible Idaho will step aside as group and give others the opportunity to lead.

It is my sincere hope that the resources I have had a small part in providing over the last several months have inspired even one person to get involved when they otherwise were not involved before. I hope that I made it easier for you to reach out to your congressman, or to understand the political atmosphere we live in. I hope I have inspired change in some of you, encouraged some of you to keep fighting. If I was able to help even one person, I believe these last few months have been successful because as a group, we have made an impact.

Please use this period to join another Indivisible Group here in our community, and stay in this fight. I plan to. Or take the next step and start your own group. Find a neighbor or a co-worker and visit our MoC and keep the conversation going. Keep the resistance strong.

On July 31st, Indivisible Idaho’s Facebook page will close. We will maintain the website as a resource for those joining the movement and searching for scripts, information, and guides. Feel free to continue to share it with those you welcome into the resistance.

Together, we will always be Indivisible.
